FROM PIERRE BOULEZ’ COMPOSITIONS

I was lucky enough to attend Pierre Boulez’s performances twice, directed by the composer himself. They were unforgettable experiences to me. I already knew a great deal of his vast production, and some of his compositions affected me so much that I had to portray the sensations conjured up by them. I was particularly fascinated by the twelve pieces for piano “Notation”. Three series of my works were inspired by them: studies, works with mixed techniques and a folder of engravings.
